WebHippies are first of all young people. Generally they are young people in their teens or early 20s living out a rejection of material wealth and the Puritan ethic. The hippies believe hard work by itself is not a virtue, though they are willing to work long and strenuously (contrary to common belief) on anything they are interested in.
